Who is it suitable for?
This course is ideal for those with limited experience of inspection and testing and is an ideal follow up course for those that have completed a Domestic Electrical Installer qualification. This course can also be used as a refresher for those that have been out of the industry for a while or need a refresher prior to the completing the Level 3 Inspection and Testing Course.

Course entry requirments?
It is recommended that candidates should have some formal electrical installation training and have achieved a 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.City & Guilds impose a minimum age requirement of 18 years for this course.

- City & Guilds 2394-01 Level 3 Inspection and Testing (Initial Verification)
- City & Guilds 2395-01 Level 3 Inspection and Testing (Periodic Inspection)
City & Guilds 2392-10 Inspection and Testing Level 2 Assessments:
The qualification is assessed via a 100 minute multiple choice examination and a 2 hour practical assessment. The exam is closed book.
These assessments are completed during the 4-5 day course.

Darren joined our team in 2017, and has years of industry experience.
During his career Darren has trained a wide range of electrical and H&S qualifications and has supported the development of electrical apprentices and experienced electricians.
Rob started his career by completing an electrical apprenticeship with a local company before working as a self-employed electrician. Rob has since worked as an Approved Electrician, Qualifying Supervisor and Electrical Training Officer.
Having worked in the training industry since 2007 Rob is an experienced Tutor and NVQ Assessor.
As well as being part of our apprenticeship delivery team Rob specializes in the delivery and assessment of Inspection and Testing and Portable Appliance Testing courses.
Gary joined the electrical industry aged 17 through an apprenticeship scheme with Midlands Electricity Board. After qualifying as an electrician he ran his own electrical contracting business before going on to join Siemens Industrial Projects & Systems. During this time Gary gained a wide range of skills in electrical installation work, photovoltaic installations and electronic assembly lines.
Gary has worked in the training sector since 2001 as an NVQ assessor, Quality Assurer and Tutor.
From a delivery point of view Gary specializes in Portable Appliance Testing, Asbestos Awareness and the practical assessment of Inspection & Testing courses
Jon has worked in the electrical industry since leaving school and starting an electrical apprenticeship with Midlands Electricity Board (MEB). After qualifying and working as an electrician for a number of years he specialised in the security industry, installing systems including CCTV, door entry systems, intruder and fire alarms. After progressing to Project Engineer Jon took the opportunity of a complete change in career and moved into training.
Jon has worked in training since 2003 and is now responsible for Quality Assurance, Training Delivery and Course Management. Jon still plays an active role in delivery and specializes in:

What happens if I fail an assessment?
You will have a very good chance of passing your assessments at the first attempt as our courses are very thorough and our tutors are there to guide and support you.
If it doesn’t go right for you on the day the main thing, is not to worry – it happens from time to time.
Your tutor will review your score with you and you may just need to review your notes again and sit the exam a couple of days later. This is often all that’s needed.
If you and your tutor feel you need a little more support we can agree some extra 1-1 training for you.
