The City & Guilds 5357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma course is a must for those wishing to become fully qualified and then be graded as an electrician by the Joint Industry Board.  All ‘new entrants’ to the electrical industry must complete this qualification and those with existing technical qualifications may also be eligible.

You do not need to be employed in the electrical industry to complete the Knowledge units of the 5357 course, however you will need suitable work experience to complete the NVQ Performance units at a later date.

The 5357 NVQ 3 Diploma qualification can be completed as part of a funded apprenticeship (if you are employed in the industry), or you can fund this yourself.
