Course Description

The City & Guilds 2391-50 qualification directly replaces 2394-01. The new course structure benefits candidates by reducing assessment duplication, and exams are largely open book. This course is ideal for those that only intend to certificate new installation work via an Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Works Certificate. Those planning to complete Condition Reports on existing properties should consider the 2391-52 combined qualification. The 2391 suite of qualifications are held in very high regard in the industry and are often a requirement for industry applications:
  • 2391-50 - a Competent Person Scheme requirement for signing off new installations
  • 2391-51 - a Competent Person Scheme requirement for carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports
  • 2391-52 - an Approved contractor Qualifying Supervisor requirement for Certification Bodies such as NICEIC and NAPIT
  • 2391-52 - a requirement for ECS/JIB Approved Electrician Gold card grading
